XP was founded by John Johnson, ex-CEO of the Harman Music Group. The long term relationship between IVL and John commenced in the 1980’s and resurfaced when XP approached IVL to develop a line of guitar pedals to be sold by XP under the Morpheus brand. Three pedals have been released to date, all incorporating IVL’s proprietary pitch shifting technology.
